With spring weather finally here we had a great time creating these beautiful spring time butterflies! We are deep in our study of life cycles, and finishing up our geometry-- so what better than symmetry butterflies? Nothing, I'd say!! We used a glue &I black paint mixture to create a stained glass look- and the next day added water colors!
Today we also compared & contrasted the life cycle of a butterfly, frog, and white-tailed deer. We used our best thinking brains to discuss the differences-- while all being a never ending cycle!
We read (well watched someone read-- I could not find this book anywhere!!) Chester the Worldly Pig, a story about a pig who travels and ends up with mud stains shaped as the continents and oceans!! Tomorrow we will create our own Chester world maps, for our geography unit!
Enjoy the pictures!
